And I desperately need to fix my sleeping pattern so I can study properly during the day!
So this orthopaedic/dermatology/plastic/periop med/rheumatology block runs for 6 weeks, then comes the exams.
I'll have to
week 1 (which is this week) - revise Block one Cardiology/Respiratory system.
Practise Cardio/Resp exams.
week 2 - Block 2 Neurology, Ophthalmology, ENT.
Neurological exams on upper limbs and lower limbs, Eye examination including Ophthalmascope, Cranial Nervesweek 3 - Block 3 Renal, Urology, Endocinology.
Problem oriented examination for diabetic foot.week 4 - Block 5 Oncology, Haematology, Infectious Disease (because we are doing block 4 atm so i'll leave it to the end).
Lymph nodes examination. The big four cancers, Lung, Prostate, Breast/Ovarian, Leukemia/Lymphonas.week 5 - Block 6 Gastroenterology/General Surgery.
Gastro exams.
week 6 - Block 4 and also everything else that I might have rushed through because it might be less important.
Knee and Hip examination, small joint examination for Rheumatoid Arthritis. And during this 6 weeks. Clerk at least 3 patients outside block 4. And keep practising taking history with colleagues and patients.
Sounds like a good plan. Now I'll just have to stick to it.
Good luck to me!
