One of Mara and my favorite things to do together is bake treats! This has been a repeat favorite of our lately and wanted to share the recipe as we head into summer its the perfect dessert! It’s pretty simple you’re basically making chocolate chip cookie dough and layering in graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows. This is the chocolate chip cookie recipe we use: 1 cup butter (softened not melted) Whip the butter before you add anything else (kitchen aid) Then add 1 cup white sugar 1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla 2 eggs Mix Butter and sugars until smooth add vanilla and eggs then add: 3 1/4 cups flour (I usually add about 1/4 cup more) 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt Then 3/4 package milk chocolate chips Once you have the chocolate chip cookie dough done set aside. preheat over to 350 degrees. get a square or 9x13 pan (depending on if you prefer thicker or thiner bars) Line with parchment paper (the sides too) this makes it easy to pop out after its done and cut into bars Lay graham cracker base down across bottom of pan. Add half the cookie dough spread evenly. Add layer of marshmallows - this is personal preference how many you want. Add a few chunks of Hersheys bar. (see pic below) Top with remaining cookie dough. We make little chunks of cookie dough and lay it by marshmallows and chocolate (you want to see some of the marshmallow and chocolate chunks on the top your not fully covering it) Bake 25-30mins at 350 degrees look for marshmallows to be slightly golden brown on the top. Let it cool completely and ENJOY! If you try let me know what you think! They are so yummy!! XX, Christine Christine’s Substack is free today.
