It's been quite a journey, since I started my blog 15 years ago, to arrive at the launch of Amiya today.
| | A LETTER FROM AIMEE
I started out as a fashion blogger, long before influencer was a term. Over the years, my life as a creative has taken many forms: interior architect, blogger, fashion influencer, globe-trotter, creative director, ambassador, panelist and even writer. I lived through a number of major cultural shifts in the fashion world and I am deeply grateful for all of these wonderful opportunities to experience life. With the constant changes in both the digital and fashion industries, I have experienced burnout and have oftentimes felt uninspired. Motherhood provided a new sense of meaning and a responsibility to pause and reflect. I began to find freedom in saying no, and became protective of what I allowed in my space. Thoughtfulness became a core life pillar: from what I do, to the people I surround myself with, to the world I show my child. The work I put out in the world needed to shift with me.
| | As I grew in recent years, I noticed a change in how I wanted to dress. I valued the craftsmanship and quality of items more; and chose pieces I could wear over and over. I strived for a wardrobe of fewer items, each with greater impact, that would stay because they were made with care. These core values of thoughtfulness and intentionality have now become the driving force behind Amiya. Each piece is carefully designed and made in Italy. As co-founder of Amiya, I'm thrilled to bring you a company that embodies these values. I owe it to myself and to my beloved community who has accompanied me during all these years with such passion and loyalty. | | | | |
